Finding response predictors with Viscovery SOMine

[News Viscovery]

Horn (NL) / Vienna (AT), 17 February 2022 Finding response predictors with Viscovery SOMine Together with Ingrid Augustin and her colleagues from our long term customer CIRO+, we published the article Multidimensional outcome assessment of pulmonary rehabilitation in traits-based clusters of COPD patients in PLOS ONE.

Building on the previous work with Ingrid Augustin from 2020, we clustered the multidimensional outcome parameters and compared this new clustering to the comprehensive model from 2020 which incorporates pulmonary and extra-pulmonary traits at base assessment. The comprehensive base assessment model has distinct predictive power to forecast probable response patterns.

Viscovery model to reduce disease burden for patients with chronic heart failure

[News Viscovery]

Horn (NL) / Vienna (AT), 18 November 2021 Viscovery model to reduce disease burden for patients with chronic heart failure

Together with Nicole Uszko-Lencer and her colleagues from our long term customer CIRO+, we published the article Clustering based on comorbidities in patients with chronic heart failure: an illustration of clinical diversity in ESC Heart Failure.

This article analyzes data from 603 patients with chronic heart failure who participated in a specialized heart failure rehabilitation program. Viscovery SOMine is used to find clusters of patients with similar comorbidity profiles, which are then screened for significant differences in extracardiac physical and psychological characteristics.

Viscovery incorporates assessment parameters for better pulmonary rehabilitation programs

[News Viscovery]

Horn (NL) / Vienna (AT), 27 November 2020 Viscovery incorporates assessment parameters for better pulmonary rehabilitation programs

Together with Ingrid Augustin and her colleagues from our long term customer CIRO+, we published the article Incorporating comprehensive assessment parameters to better characterize and plan rehabilitation for persons with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the Journal of the American Medical Directors Association.

This article describes a follow-up clustering model to the articles from 2018 by Ingrid Augustin, her colleagues and Viscovery. In addition to pulmonary traits, the new Viscovery model incorporates extrapulmonary functional traits and general health status to give a more detailed view on persons with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
